Sweden launches world's first electrified road
The Swedish government inaugurated the world's first electrified road. About two kilometers of electrical components have been incorporated into a road section linking Arlanda Airport to the outskirts of Stockholm, and the pavement can recharge the batteries of electric vehicles by transferring power. This initiative is part of the country's executive plans to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by 2030.
As for the cost, it is estimated that each electrified kilometer of road can cost one million euros.
