XCELLOGIS loads 166 Ton piece with shore cranes in Setubal port...

It is a new loading record with shore cranes in Setubal port. Manufactured by Metalurgica Central de Alhos Vedros (MCAV), one of the three columns loaded, weighed over 166 Tons. This was effectively the heaviest piece loaded with shore cranes in Setubal port. For the loading operation, two cranes were used. One was the well-known Gottwald from Sadoport, and the other was the brand new LTM1750 from Portuguese company Transgrua.

BASF - The Project...

For over six months, company MCAV, one of the most prestigious metalworking manufacturer in Portugal,produced three gas production columns for Air Liquide. These columns are meant to produce nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and will be installed at BASF production centre in Ludwigshafen, Germany. This project demanded from XCELLOGIS an exhaustive and accurate planning, and a heavy logistic coordination. From the route study and survey, through road works and obstacles removal, up to a complex logistic coordination among the various entities involved, ending with a successful accomplishment of the project.
